Verified by Visa (VbV) is the security system for online Visa card payment. VbV was designed and introduced by Visa International. Visa has mandated its all issuing banks to implement the VbV system by 2005. The Visa card holders are obligated to register their Visa card to the issuing bank, purposely for the online payment (e-Commerce). During enrollment process, card holders must specify the VbV Password for the future online payment transaction. Card holders must correctly specify the VbV Password while shopping, otherwise the issuing bank will decline such transaction.
